GRADE 3-5
Create-Design-Impact

GRADE 6-8
CodeAI

Three years of a weekly interdisciplinary, culturally relevant elementary curriculum. In the first two years, students develop computational thinking through relevant and engaging learning activities and projects. The third year integrates coding, community-based environmental literacy, and data literacy for all students.
An integrated semester+ long coding curriculum using CreatiCode, an innovative Scratch-based platform with AI features such as AI chatbox, image generator, and AI code blocks.In the five units, middle school students explore AI tools, build AI-powered applications, create voice and vision AI apps, and explore advanced AI topics, such as neural networks and self-driving cars.

For Students

  • Structured inquiry involves students in creative coding while also providing the step-by-step guidance necessary for absolute beginners to succeed;

  • Language support helps English learners and students with reading challenges develop literacy and computing skills simultaneously;

  • STEM identity is developed as children learn about diverse computer scientists, and code stories about their own lives and communities.

For Teachers

  • Instructional resources, including detailed lesson plans, notes, handouts, and slides, make teaching the material easy;

  • Professional development is designed so that no prior coding experience is necessary to get started teaching the Grade 3-5 curriculum;

  • Assessment tools include a computational thinking test, identity survey, observation protocol, and student reflection forms and rubrics.
